A Blogger's Library of Resources

Every Blogger needs a Resource Library to fall back on and use when creating his/ her own stunning Blog and content. It only makes sense to not reinvent the wheel if it is not completely necessary and also to save a huge amount of time. I have just started building my own Resource Library, but you can download and customize any of these freebies for your own Blog.

Grow your On-line Audience

Discover the “Minimalist Method” for Growing Your On-line Audience.

What is Lead Generation?

According to HubSpot, ‘a lead is a person who has indicated interest in your company’s product or service in some way, shape, or form’.

Your audience consists of the ideal group of people who are identified as your ideal customer or Buyer Persona (see the Buyer Persona Template we have created). These people, your ideal customers are now genuine leads which you can pursue with your products.

We have created a minimalist Guide to follow to generate leads for your business or Blog. This Guide is free to download.

Buyer Persona Template

According to HubSpot, a buyer persona is “a semi-fictional representation of your ideal customer based on market research and real data about your existing customers”.

According to WebScripto, by understanding what your Buyer Persona wants to accomplish, or what (s)he is interested in, you can create the kind of content on your own Blog or website that will help these Buyer Personas (who represent real customers) to achieve their own goals.

Template of a Resumé

You may think that you don’t need a Resumé because you already have a Blog or a Portfolio to which you can refer when applying for a Freelance position. This is however not advisable.

Most of my Freelance opportunities I got from my LinkedIn network and I assure you almost all of the clients wanted a copy of my Resumé in spite of the fact that my profile on LinkedIn contains all of the required information. If you have a Resumé ready to submit to a potential client, it also indicates that you are a professional Freelance Writer. By all means, refer clients to your Blog or online Portfolio, but have your Resumé at hand as part of your Media Kit.

Editorial Calendar

Editorial calendars keep blogging, social media and other content schedules consistent so you can make your deadlines and plan the best content for your audience.

You are welcome to read the Blog post on using Storyboarding as a planning tool for your content after which you can schedule the content appropriately with your Editorial Calendar.

How SEO works: An Infographic

How are the links determined which you see when you type in your search term in the search bar?

According to Moz, ‘Google has a crawler that goes out and gathers information about all the content they can find on the Internet. The crawlers bring all those 1s and 0s back to the search engine to build an index. That index is then fed through an algorithm that tries to match all that data with your query’.

Here is an Infographic which  can serve as a quick reference, when you are writing your next Blog Post.
